2020...The Yin Yang Year

2020...what can I say? It was one of the weirdest years, I’ve experienced in my life! From January 1 all the way to December 31, it was a year to remember! When the clock struck 12 and we entered 2031, most were rejoicing in the fact that 2020 was now officially over! And you can’t really blame them This year brought a lot of sadness, frustration, and disappointment. We were hit with the Coronavirus which unfortunately, claimed thousands of lives. It also caused the closings of many jobs and the loss of employment and resources. Those that were deemed “essential“ quickly became physically and mentally drained! Wishing good riddance to 2020 is an understatement!

But 2020 also birthed some things. Many people became entrepreneurs, started small businesses, enrolled in school (those that remained open), reunited with loved ones, and simply learned more about themselves. 2020 forced a lot of us to sit down and rest! And let’s be honest, who didn’t need the rest?

I cannot complain too much about 2020. I started DaniGirl Living, which is doing well. I made new connections. I experienced new things and I even made new friends I learned a lot about myself. I realized the things that triggered unwanted emotions as well as learning to embrace happy moments that I was afraid to allow myself to have. I could easily look at 2020 as being a sucky year. But I’m trying to embrace the good in situations As tough as it seemed, there was some light in the darkness of 2020. With that being said, how will the reflections of this previous year promote your growth in this year? What have you learned? What goals have you made? Let the set backs that may have occurred in 2020 be used to catapult you into 2021!

Wishing you a happy, healthy, and prosperous new year!
