Are You Ready???

As you know, over the past year, the world has been plagued with the dreaded Covid-19 virus. Unfortunately, many businesses have been forced to make adjustments and several have closed. Here in Baltimore City, restaurants are crying out for help due to limited hours and closures. Some have even banned together to sue the city. Just recently, the mayor announced restaurants will be allowed to open (with strict restrictions) as of 6:00pm on Friday. Restaurants are now rejoicing, right? Wrong! Several have decided to remain delivery/pickup only. Others have decided to remain closed for several more weeks. Some establishments are leaving the doors shut to do major cleaning and make necessary adjustments. So here’s my question:

With all the complaining and for the amount of time they have been closed, why would they not be ready upon the Mayor’s opening announcement? Now don’t get me wrong, I know there are things that must be done to safely and legally reopen, but some of these excuses require the side eye.

How often are you actually prepared to receive what you ask and pray for? Do you ask with a true expectancy of receiving or do you ask with an empty hope? And what do you do while you wait? Do you complain and cry or do you focus and prepare? When waiting for your needs and desires, make sure you actually want what you are asking for. Prepare for it! And remember, stay ready so you don’t have to get ready!
