Be My Peace or Peace Out!!! Minding My Mental Health

In the wake of Mental Health Awareness month, it is time we begin to take our sanity back! I was listening to “Unpretty” by TLC (click the link above for the video) and even though I’ve heard the song many times before, today, it just really resonated in my spirit.

How often do we let unnecessary comments, actions, attitudes, drama, and opinions interrupt our peace? Have you ever been having a really good day or just in a really good mood and BOOM, that one thing takes it all away? Why do we let this happen? We have to stop giving away our peace! I know it’s easier said than done but we must try.

Protecting our mental health is a must! Learn what triggers or disrupts your peace and remove it. It doesn’t matter who or what it is, REMOVE IT! If you are in a position where you can’t remove the disruptor, remove yourself! Don’t let anyone make you feel unwanted, uncomfortable, unworthy, or undervalued! By learning to love yourself and realizing your value, it will allow you to no longer allow mess in your space!

Protect your mental health beloveds! And don’t be afraid to proclaim, if it’s not bringing me peace, than PEACE OUT!!!
