Southern Food Finds

Writer's picture: Danielle CurtisDanielle Curtis

So, every year, my family meets in different parts of North Carolina for a mini family get together. It's five days full of food, fun, laughter, jokes, adventures, and rest. I personally enjoy it the most when we meet in Raleigh, NC. Raleigh is the perfect blend of country living with city vibes.

It has become tradition to meet every morning for a big hardy breakfast, followed by a nap, of course! When in Raleigh, our breakfast of choice is served at a small restaurant called Brigs. It is a family oriented brunch spot that stays packed and if you wait too long to show up, you probably won't get a seat. The food is absolutely amazing!!! And the service is equally outstanding! From breakfast platters, to the royal skillets, griddle goodies, shrimp and grits, humongous burgers, sandwiches, and even salads (if healthy is your thing). They have it all! In the many years that my family and I have been eating there, we have NEVER been disappointed!

They have two locations in Cary, and one in Raleigh, Durham, and Wake Forest. If you are ever in one of those cities, make it a point to stop by and grab a bite. You will not be disappointed!
