but can you handle it?

I've said it once. I've said it twice. Be careful about what you pray for. God just might give it to you.

So, as you all know, I have a food blog that I have been diligently working on. It's my prayer that it becomes an actual business/brand and will be known nationwide. Slowly but surely, my prayers are coming to fruition. That's a good thing, right? Yes! But what I forgot to pray for, in addition, to the growth of my blog, was the strength and energy to maintain it.

I was so tired the other night (and honestly, mentally drained) that I just wanted to curl up in the bed and watch tv until I fell asleep. But I was quickly reminded of an event (that I have been praying on) was scheduled for later that evening. Everything in me wanted to say forget it and get in the bed. But that would have been a complete slap in the face to God! And I dare not! Here I am, ready to flake on the very thing I had been asking God to give me. Crazy, right?

This reminded me that we MUST be specific in our prayers. When God says "Yes", will you be ready? Are you prepared to receive the blessing that you are asking for? Can you maintain it once it arrives?

I suggest making a prayer bo

ard, a vision board but prayer specific. Write out all that will be needed to maintain that blessing, not just the blessing itself. Pray without ceasing but make sure you can handle it!
