Ways I Protect My Peace

Life is a journey. And just like any other adventure, lessons should be learned along the way. Inhale the good and exhale the bad. Accept and embrace what makes you happy and dismiss everything else.

Here are ways that may help you bring you peace...(they have definitely helped me)


10. Learn to walk away...whether it's an unhappy, unhealthy relationship or friendship, job or position, walk away. Even conversations should be walked away from if it doesn't make you happy.

8. Write down your goals and dreams. Review them daily. Work towards them!

6. Every negative thing is not done TO you. I had to accept it's not always about me.

4. Comparison is the thief of joy. Be the best you that you can be and be it unapologetically.


3. Embrace and work through your feelings. ALL OF THEM! Understand what bothers you and why. Allow yourself to get angry (without seeking revenge) Accept but calm down the nerves that come with new adventures and opportunities. Don't let anyone tell you how you should or shouldn't feel.


2. Eat the food. Drink the drinks. Take the trips. Meet new people. Go out by yourself. Be open to things you normally wouldn't do. Accept new opportunities. Laugh more. Treat yourself!


1. You cannot save everyone. You do not have to be superwoman/superman. Be a good person to others but be a great person to yourself!
